with Kochkäse
and smocked bacon

- Cook the pasta “al dente” according to the instructions on the packet, then drain.
- Meanwhile, peel the onion and cut it into small pieces.
- Fry the bacon cubes in a frying pan, without adding any fat, until they are golden brown. Add the onion and sweat it until it is translucent.
- Add the plain Kochkäse and the whipping cream. Season with salt and pepper, stir and simmer for a few minutes over low heat.
- Preheat the oven to 200° C on the grill setting.
- Arrange the pasta in an ovenproof dish. Pour the Kochkäse sauce over the top.
- Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and grated parmesan. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, until the surface is well browned.
