Kochkäse waffles
with
fresh cream topping

- Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix the EKABE Kochkäse with the milk. Stir in the melted butter, egg, water and onions.
- Now add the dry ingredients to the Kochkäse mixture until just combined.
- Preheat the waffle iron. Lightly brush the waffle iron plates with a bit of oil.
- Pour about ½ cup of batter per waffle onto the hot waffle iron. The amount will vary depending on the size of your waffle iron.
- Place two halves of bacon on each waffle, close the waffle iron and cook until golden brown for 3-5 minutes.
- For the topping, mix the EKABE fresh cream with both mustards, salt and pepper to taste. Serve the waffles hot with a generous spoonful of fresh cream topping.
Tip:
For a vegetarian version, replace the bacon with finely sliced mushrooms.
