- Melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the onions, salt and pepper, and sauté for 5 minutes until they start to soften.
- Reduce the heat to low and continue stirring regularly until the onions are well caramelized – this may take up to 60 minutes. Add a splash of water if the pan becomes too dry. Once caramelized, let cool and set aside.
- Mix the EKABE thick cream with the mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, chives, and an extra pinch of salt and pepper.
- Stir the caramelized onions into the dip. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
