Kochkäse waffles
with
fresh cream topping

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the EKABE Kochkäse with the milk. Stir in the melted butter, egg, water and onions.
  3. Now add the dry ingredients to the Kochkäse mixture until just combined.
  4. Preheat the waffle iron. Lightly brush the waffle iron plates with a bit of oil.
  5. Pour about ½ cup of batter per waffle onto the hot waffle iron. The amount will vary depending on the size of your waffle iron.
  6. Place two halves of bacon on each waffle, close the waffle iron and cook until golden brown for 3-5 minutes.
  7. For the topping, mix the EKABE fresh cream with both mustards, salt and pepper to taste. Serve the waffles hot with a generous spoonful of fresh cream topping.

Tip:

For a vegetarian version, replace the bacon with finely sliced mushrooms.
